Queensland Ballet’s Visiting School Program is a great way for students to experience the world of dance and learn about various elements of dance production. During last Friday’s workshop, Lauren from Queensland Ballet engaged with students to provide them with hands-on training in classical ballet. The workshop also included elements of choreography, stage presence, and performance technique.
In addition to the dance training, students also learnt about the history of dance, different types of dance, costumes and sets, and the role of music in a performance. The workshop was interactive, allowing students to
ask questions, practise their skills, and receive feedback. Overall, the Queensland Ballet Visiting School Program was a great opportunity for students to learn about
dance, develop new skills, and gain a deeper appreciation for the art form.
Thank you again to Lauren from Queensland Ballet and Kirsten Canniford for assisting in Friday’s workshop. We hope the students who attended the workshop enjoyed it thoroughly.
