The St John’s community came together on Saturday at the 269th Parkrun at Wondai.
About 20 St John’s volunteers – students, parents and teachers – ran the event, usually five volunteers do all the hard work. St John’s student Ava Stevens was the Run Director for the morning, and was in charge of 83 runners and walkers.
The month of October was dedicated to parkwalkers, encouraging more participants to enjoy walking at parkrun and reducing the concern of many that you have to run to enjoy parkrun.
Newcomers are always welcome to join the three parkruns in the region – at Wondai, Nanango and Proston – at 7:00am every Saturday.
Thank you again to St John’s volunteers for running a successful morning!
We love the community spirit.
